Differences Between Texas Hold'em and Omaha

Texas Hold'em and Omaha are the two most widely played poker variants in the world, but their strategic differences are significant. In Texas Hold'em you receive two hole cards; in Omaha you receive four, which radically changes the dynamics of the game.
In Texas Hold'em you can make your best hand using any combination of your two hole cards and the five community cards. In Omaha, you are required to use exactly two of your four hole cards and exactly three of the community cards.
Omaha tends to produce stronger hands more frequently, which generally means larger pots and more intense action. Texas Hold'em, on the other hand, allows for more bluffing and positional play.
At Atlantic City we offer both variants in cash games and tournament format. If you already have Texas Hold'em under your belt, we encourage you to try Omaha and expand your poker repertoire.
